About the 2006 Gala

The 2nd annual Gala of Hope raised over $101,000 in gross revenue in support of the Canadian Cancer Society’s programs and services, including the Southern Interior Rotary Lodge, the Emergency Aid program and a new cancer education and prevention program: Promote Health: Prevent Cancer. Kelowna Mayor Sharon Shepherd and Dr. Michael Shepherd were Honourary Chairs, with emcee duties being performed by Deborra Hope, news anchor for Global TV. Great entertainment provided by the Timebenders.
