The Gala of Hope is a major fundraising initiative of the Canadian Cancer Society. With the outstanding support of our sponsors and guests the aim is to surpass last year’s success and raise $250,000 with the 2010 event.

The Gala of Hope is an elegant dinner and dance event and is expected to attract 350 guests including numerous Kelowna business and community leaders.

The Gala of Hope is organized and administered by a dedicated and professional committee of volunteers and staff.

Why does the Canadian Cancer Society put on this event? Every three seconds, cancer picks a fight with another Canadian. Two in five Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.  Each of us has had cancer touch our life. Whether it affects you personally, a family member, a loved one or a friend, it is a devastating disease that we must eradicate.

Together with our dedicated committee, we are planning an evening of FUN with a special tribute to Camp Goodtimes.
2010 marks the 25th Anniversary of Camp Goodtimes, and 25 years of bringing life-enhancing support to children and families who bravely fight cancer.
